About the role

  • Ongoing full-time vacancy, 35 hours per week.
  • Location: This role is based in Sydney. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
  • Clerk Grade: 11/12. Base salary $149,739 to $173,174 p.a. plus super and annual leave loading.

The Information and Technology team delivers secure, modern, and efficient digital services by maintaining robust technological infrastructure, developing and supporting critical business applications, and leading strategic technology initiatives aligned with the organisation’s objectives.  

 

About the role

The Senior Manager, Project Delivery, leads and manages the risk, quality and progress of ICT projects to organisational standards. This includes ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, to quality standards, and within agreed scope and drive towards delivering positive customer outcomes. 

The role is responsible for the adoption of project management methodologies, selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches to meet the project deliverables and drive NSW Trustee and Guardian’s culture of being customer-centered. 

As the Senior Manager, Project Delivery, you will: 

  • Lead and manage project planning, budget, and governance to deliver critical, highly complex and/or large projects and the achievement of expected benefits. 
  • Evaluate project feasibility including business requirements, forecasting, and planning for the realisation of anticipated benefits and ensure project scope is aligned with business priorities, including customer focused outcomes. 
  • Manage and develop high performing teams in both a permanent and/or virtual setting to ensure project outcomes are achieved. This includes leading a collaborative approach to projects that are integrated, available resources are optimised, and methodologies, systems, tools, processes and policy guidelines are applied consistently. 
  • Ensure that business and technology risks are appropriately identified, managed, and reported. 
  • Develop and implement project management plans to ensure the success of the project and support major organisational change. 
  • Lead the process for the deployment and integration of new digital capabilities into the business in a way that is sensitive to and fully compatible with business operations. 
  • Drive a culture of collaboration and proactive communication with key stakeholders, including the management of expectations, and project outcomes are clearly defined and met.

About you

The ideal person will have:

  • Extensive experience in leading projects and programs in the field of Information Management and Information Technology.
  • Proven experience in leading a team and collaborating with the Divisional leadership team.
  • Knowledge and experience in a change/transformation work environment.
  • Passion for continuous improvement of processes within the business.
  • Excellent communication skills to work confidently with a diverse range of customers, colleagues, and senior management.
  • Positive attitude and a proactive leader who enjoys delivering large, complex objectives in a changing environment.
